We offer a series of workshops designed to help you refine your memoir writing craft.
Workshops are available for individuals or for your private group. All workshops are crafted to include writers of all levels. They are meant to create community and to encourage your writing.

One-Day Intensive
Crafting a Compelling Memoir

Condensed into a single day, this intensive workshop provides inspiration and instruction to get your memoir up and running. Learn how to pre-write: organize your memoir, define your purpose, and set your writing goals. Then, we get deep into writing: how to captivate readers, develop dynamic characters, and build vivid worlds. This hands-on workshop includes lunch and materials. You leave with assignments to do on your own and suggested follow-up reading.

We’d love to come and speak to your group about the nuts and bolts of memoir writing. We do a presentation on why—and why not!—to write your memoir, how to get started, how to finish, and how to publish. This is a hands-on workshop with handouts and discussion. We always end with a lively question and answer, and you go home with assignments for next steps to take on your own.
